The leading business solutions provider and world’s leader in Interactive Media Content for the automotive industry, izmocars has announced that its vehicle photography division, izmostudio has achieved two industry firsts. 1) color-correct, trim-level interior and exterior vehicle images for all online platforms and 2) super-sharp, high-resolution vehicle animations (including 360° exterior and interior “spins” with touchable “hot spots” and colorization) that work with Apple’s iPhone and iPad.
Auto Industry Online Photos Reach New Levels for iPhone and iPad -Image by kowitz via FlickrBefore the new release by izmostudio, no other provider in the auto industry has been able to control the distinctive interactive, visual power of Apple’s mobile devices or to attain this level of color/trim image accuracy across all online platforms. The challenge of matching vehicle photos exactly to consumer search specifications has been a continuing problem in online vehicle shopping. Consumers would specify auto color and trim, but the results of their search usually did not match their requests and has led to frustration with online auto shopping. The new izmostudio images are the color-correct (not a random shade of green but the actual automaker shade of green for that make/model) and trim correct for both the vehicle’s exterior and interior.
“izmostudio has achieved the holy grail of automotive digital marketing – photos that show consumers an image of the exact car that they’ve configured in their vehicle search, rather than unsatisfactory generic exterior/interior images that are neither the correct color nor the trim the shopper is searching for,” said izmocars President Tej Soni. “In addition, images from izmostudio now enable auto dealers and auto marketers to take advantage of the rich visual and interactive experience provided by iPad and iPhone to enhance their customers’ appreciation for -and likelihood to purchase -their vehicles. With over 100 million iPhones and 15 million iPads in the hands of consumers, we are proud to be the first and only digital image provider in the industry to meet the skyrocketing consumer demand for Apple platform customization.”
izmostudio is the first and only provider to deliver bright, sharp compelling vehicle images and animation, including exterior and interior spins and colorization, on the iPhone and iPad.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., /PRNewswire/ -- Federal-Mogul Corporation's (NASDAQ: FDML) LKZ® oil control ring was named a 2011 Automotive News PACE™ Environmental Award winner on June 14 during the Automotive News Green Car Conference in Novi, Mich. The company's LKZ oil control ring innovation, along with its EcoTough®-coated piston—both of which contribute to improved fuel economy and emission reduction—were honored earlier this year with a 2011 Automotive News PACE™ Award.
"We are honored that our LKZ ring is again recognized for its significance to the auto industry," said Federal-Mogul President and CEO Jose Maria Alapont. "Vehicle manufacturers and consumers alike appreciate technical innovations that reduce oil and fuel consumption, as well as reduce CO2 emissions, while enhancing engine performance. Our LKZ ring delivers all of these attributes and is a prime example of Federal-Mogul's commitment to provide our customers with world-class, innovative products and services to meet their needs."
Federal-Mogul's LKZ oil control ring is an innovative two-piece oil ring for diesel and direct-injection gasoline engines. The patented ring reduces fuel consumption and exhaust emissions by decreasing oil consumption by up to 50 percent and in-cylinder friction by up to 15 percent, compared to the best conventional two-piece oil rings.
Typical piston rings apply equal pressure to the cylinder bore on the downstroke, toward the crankcase, and on the upstroke, toward the combustion chamber. Federal-Mogul's LKZ ring combines a stepped surface and taper on its contacting edge, which provides a well-defined pressure to the cylinder wall on the downstroke and a significantly lesser effect on the upstroke. The downstroke pressure more effectively returns the oil that lubricates the cylinder to the oil pan, as opposed to allowing oil to enter the combustion chamber, thus reducing oil consumption, improving fuel economy and reducing emissions, and avoiding the possibility of carbon deposits on the spark plug or on the cylinder head.
The PACE Environmental Award honors innovations in the automotive supplier industry that contribute to environmental sustainability or solve environmental problems. Environmental Award winners are selected from among the year's Automotive News PACE™ Award winners by independent judges, who are auto industry experts.

PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Diodes Incorporated (Nasdaq: DIOD), a leading global manufacturer and supplier of high-quality application specific standard product within the broad discrete, logic and analog semiconductor markets, today announced the first devices in a family of Super Barrier Rectifiers (SBR®) designed for automotive applications. With a lower forward voltage drop, improved avalanche rating and higher safe operating area (SOA) than alternative Schottky or ultra-fast diode alternatives, these rugged rectifiers enable automotive designers to increase the reliability of motor control, display panel and LED lighting circuits.
Utilizing Diodes’ patented SBR technology, the AECQ101 qualified SBR20A60CTBQ, SBR30A45CTBQ and SBR3045CTBQ rectifiers handle output currents of 20A and 30A and are provided in the industry-standard TO-263 package, while the SBR1045D1Q is rated for 10A and comes in the slightly smaller TO-252 package.
The SBRs’ low VF means circuit power efficiency can be significantly improved and much cooler operation achieved. The resulting improvement in reliability is further increased by the devices’ higher reverse avalanche rating, that provides greater protection against transient voltage spikes and its lower reverse leakage that provides a higher SOA and guards against thermal runaway in high-temperature operating conditions. For further information, visit the Company’s website at www.diodes.com.

Parting with something precious or dear isn’t the easiest thing for anybody, and if that thing happens to be your recently bought dream car, that anxiety can be all the more excruciating.
To make matters worse, if you happen to be moving, or you bought your car in some other state aside from yours, you would actually need to entrust some stranger or some service to transport your car back to you.
To reunite with your beloved car, you must make sure to use the services of a fully licensed and insured car transport company which specializes in transporting cars. Doing in depth research on the various car transporter companies and car transport service prior to choosing one will reduce the risk of any damage or mishap to your car:
* Just like any other industry, the auto transport industry is marked by multitude prices and multiple car transport options. Your first task involves choosing the right type of auto transport. Based on the value of your car, and how badly you would like to reduce the risk of damage, you have the option of an enclosed, open or fabric covered auto transporter to ship your car. The covered trailer kind carriers are certainly the safest and costliest options. If you have a tight budget, you can consider transporting your car on the multi-layer carriers used by car dealers. As your car will be simply one of many cars of their total cargo, they will charge you less, but your car will still stay protected during shipping nevertheless.
* You likewise need to decide whether to go with a car transport company or with a car transport broker. A car transport broker usually does not have his own trailer while an auto transport company does. The broker needs to make arrangements with the bigger car transport services to transport your car on their trucks. Brokers usually ask for an initial deposit, whilst the rest of the car transport payment is made, upon safe delivery of your car, to the car transport service that actually shipped your car.

* Insurance is a must if you are thinking about transporting your car over a long distance. Usually your own auto insurance company covers the car, however at times the car transport companies provide a package where the insurance costs are included. In any case, be clear of what’s covered by insurance and what’s not.
* It is safest to deal with an auto transport company that does offer a satellite tracking service. Most major transport companies offer this service at no cost. Keeping a constant tab on the route and the move helps keep you informed every step of the way during the car shipping, and reassured that your car will arrive home safely.
